Since this is a free service, I'm obviously not obligated to publish on a schedule. However, having a regular pattern has a lot of advantages. It forces me to have a somewhat regular writing cadence. It also helps regular readers to know roughly when to expect new content. (My new target schedule is Monday-Thursday, dropping to just Monday during holiday periods.) It also allegedly helps search engine optimisation. The story is that a weekly update (for example) is better than publishing 4 articles at the end of the month and nothing in between.
